Update on James Cook’s Participation in Monday’s Game from Insider

Despite entering a crucial Week 6 “Monday Night Football” matchup against the New York Jets on a two-game losing streak, the Buffalo Bills remain at the top of the AFC East.

This presents a huge opportunity for the Bills to assert their dominance in the division, especially with the Jets showing signs of instability following the firing of head coach Robert Saleh. A strong performance would allow the Bills to create some distance in the AFC East, particularly if running back James Cook is available to play.

The Bills aim to snap their two-game skid and extend their division lead with a Monday night win over the Jets (Buffalo Bills)

According to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, Cook intends to practice despite dealing with a toe injury and plans to participate in the game, which is promising news for Bills supporters.

Initially, there was concern after Cook missed practice earlier in the week, but it seems the team was exercising caution with their Pro Bowler, especially with the additional day to prepare.

Starting the season strong, Cook has already accumulated 309 rushing yards in five games, and his four rushing touchdowns match his total from his first two seasons combined.

In a recent Week 5 loss to the Houston Texans, Cook excelled with a season-high 20 carries, totaling 82 rushing yards. With Cook’s injury not being a major issue, fans appear to have little reason for worry ahead of this game.

If the Bills secure a victory, they could establish a solid two-game lead in the division.
