In September, Hyundai Motor America recorded total sales of 62,491 units, reflecting a 9% decrease compared to the same month in the previous year. Despite the overall decline, several models achieved remarkable growth, particularly the Santa Fe HEV, which experienced an impressive 87% surge in sales.
Similarly, the Tucson HEV saw a 52% increase, while the Palisade enjoyed a 9% rise in its sales figures. The hybrid vehicle segment as a whole thrived, with total sales jumping by 36%, showcasing a growing consumer interest in eco-friendly options.
Additionally, Hyundai set a new benchmark for retail sales during the third quarter, achieving a total of 210,971 units sold. This figure marks a 5% increase over Q3 2023, positioning it as the second-best quarter in the company’s history.
The success extended to the Santa Fe HEV, Tucson HEV, and Palisade, all of which established new records for both total and retail sales in this period. This upward trend highlights Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and its ability to adapt to changing market demands, eventually reinforcing its position as a key player in the automotive industry.
