A new board has been formed by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, with members drawn from senior leadership positions within JLR and the broader automotive and classic car sectors. This board is tasked with ensuring the preservation of the trust’s collection of historic vehicles, artifacts, and archives for future generations while also shaping and advancing the trust’s strategic direction into a new era of success.
Stuart Dyble, who has been a trustee of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust for 25 years, has taken on the role of Chairman. As the Founder and Executive Chairman of the global automotive public relations firms Influence Associates and Influence Emobility, Dyble has previously led the Jaguar Land Rover Global Communications Team from 2000 to 2007 and has held multiple other board-level positions within the automotive industry.
Keith Benjamin steps into the role of Managing Director for the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. His impressive career spans 37 years at the OEM board level, including 12 years as Jaguar Land Rover’s Legal Director.
The inclusion of Jaguar Managing Director Rawdon Glover as a board member underscores the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust’s strong connection to Jaguar at the highest levels. This partnership is vital for representing the brand’s history, current standing, and future direction.
Joining Glover on the board is Richard Agnew, Jaguar’s Director of Brand Communications and Insights, who brings nearly 30 years of senior leadership experience at Jaguar. Agnew’s extensive knowledge of the brand, combined with his expertise in marketing, digital strategies, and events, will be essential for the trust’s future endeavors.
Duncan Wiltshire, Chairman of The Royal Automobile Club and CEO of Motor Racing Legends Ltd, enhances the board’s capabilities with his profound understanding and extensive network within the classic car and racing communities.
The board also features several appointees from JLR, including Anna Gallagher, Customer Love Transformation Director; Richard Shore, who recently returned from a five-year role in China as President of JLR Marketing, Sales, and Service; Kevin Stride, Director of Future Customer Quality; and Paul Barritt, Head of JLR Classic.
Long-serving Independent Board Members include Barrie Thrussell, who has enjoyed a distinguished career of over fifty years in the retail motor industry, and Joe Elliot MBE, who possesses substantial board-level experience in the automotive and sports sectors.
Also included are Martyn Hollingsworth, a former Chief Engineer at Jaguar, and Peter Read, a former KPMG partner, who is a seasoned Chairman and non-executive director, as well as the Concours Chair of judges and a classic car enthusiast.
Among the Patrons and Board Members is Peter Mitchell OBE, the Trust’s Founder Patron. Mitchell established the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust (BMIHT) and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) in 1983, with the support of Sir Michael Edwards, then-Chairman of British Leyland Plc, and Michael Quinn, grandson of Sir William Lyons, Jaguar’s Founder.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collaborates closely with BMIHT, which maintains its own heritage collection at the British Motor Museum, and JLR Classic, which supplies authentic parts for Land Rover and Jaguar models that have not been in production for ten years or more. This collaboration allows all three entities to benefit from shared resources.
