Prescott Speaks Out After Thursday’s Win with a Direct Message

Dallas secured an important win over the New York Giants to kick off NFL Week 4 on “Thursday Night Football,” giving them a boost early in the season. With the victory, they improved to 2-2, avoiding further slippage behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders in the NFC East standings.

Although the Cowboys didn’t deliver their best showing, it was enough to clinch the win on a short week, and quarterback Dak Prescott made a point about the team’s mindset after the game.

“We’re focused on the process. We won’t get complacent or too excited about this win; it’s all about continuing to build,” Prescott said, as reported by NFL on CBS. This grounded approach is critical since the NFL season is long, and there’s still plenty of football ahead.

Prescott delivered a solid performance, completing 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. This marks the second consecutive week where he has thrown for two touchdowns without any interceptions. Dallas hasn’t struggled offensively, but the win over the Giants was especially key for their defense, which needed to show it could step up.

Dallas kept New York out of the end zone entirely, limiting them to just 26 rushing yards on 24 carries—an impressive feat after allowing 274 rushing yards the previous week against Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

Looking ahead, the Cowboys face a tough Week 5 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football,” where they’ll need to maintain strong run defense and offensive precision.
