The Philadelphia Eagles received positive news leading up to their Week 4 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As reported by Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP Sports Radio, star wide receiver A.J.
Brown returned to practice after being sidelined with an injury since Week 1. Should Jalen Hurts have Brown available for this road game, it could provide a significant boost to their offense.
Brown had been performing at a high level before a hamstring injury against the Green Bay Packers, securing five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.
When healthy, Brown is regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the league. In four of his first five seasons, he surpassed 1,000 receiving yards. Initially breaking out as a key player with the Tennessee Titans, he has since elevated his game to superstar status with the Eagles.
Philadelphia’s offense has struggled in Brown’s absence, leading to a narrow loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 and a low-scoring win over the New Orleans Saints, where they managed just 15 points.
The duo of Brown and DeVonta Smith, another 1,000-yard receiver, is considered among the best in the NFL. With Smith possibly out due to a concussion, Brown’s return could reignite the Eagles’ offensive strength as they prepare to face the Buccaneers, who knocked them out of the playoffs last year during the wild-card round.
