WWE Legend Mick Foley Opens Up About Vince McMahon and Allegations Surrounding Their Relationship

The lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon has prompted many to reevaluate their perceptions of the former WWE Chairman. Reactions within WWE vary, with some expressing disgust over Grant’s reported experiences with McMahon, while others grapple with reconciling their admiration for a man who impacted their careers with the allegations against him.

Mick Foley, a WWE Hall of Famer, acknowledges the debt he owes to McMahon for advancing his career. During a recent Q&A at the Northern Ireland Comic-Con, he shared insights into the duality of McMahon’s character, recognizing both his positive and negative aspects.

“I genuinely liked him,” Foley remarked. He noted that his relationship with McMahon changed after leaving WWE for TNA for three years. “Even now, I’m still searching for an address to write to him, just to express my gratitude for taking a chance on me.

We all have a mix of good and bad traits, and ideally, the good outweighs the bad, though it seems Vince may have had that reversed for a time. Still, I’ve witnessed him do positive things.”

Regarding the allegations in the lawsuit, Foley subscribes to the principle of “innocent until proven guilty.” He emphasized, “I don’t think many of us are letting these allegations tarnish our memories. McMahon played a crucial role in creating some of those memories, so I choose to appreciate him until I learn more about what may have occurred.”
