Eric Bischoff, a former WCW executive, recently shared his thoughts on WWE star Rhea Ripley’s rising career and growing success. During the late 2010s, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks (now Mercedes Mone in AEW), collectively known as the Four Horsewomen, were considered the cornerstone of WWE’s women’s division.
WWE often relied on them to hold and represent the company’s top championships. However, starting in 2020, a new generation of talent, largely developed in “WWE NXT,” began to take over the spotlight. Among them, Rhea Ripley has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s wrestling today.
Speaking on his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff highlighted Ripley’s untapped potential and continued rise in the industry. “I’m really excited about Rhea because I believe she’s still on the way up. She hasn’t reached her peak yet, and there’s plenty of room for her to grow.
What sets her apart is her uniqueness. When you talk about being ‘different than, better than, or less than,’ she’s the queen of ‘different than,’ and it’s working for her. Another aspect I admire is how she avoids being overexposed. She’s strategic with her social media presence, not overwhelming fans with constant posts, and that approach benefits her greatly.”
