The range of the Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 models has been expanded with the introduction of the Long Range versions, designed for maximum driving distance.
These models are equipped with a new 230 PS powertrain and a 96.9 kWh battery, enabling the E-3008 to cover up to 435 miles and the E-5008 up to 415 miles on a single charge, with fast charging capabilities of up to 160 kW. Below are more details about these enhanced electric SUVs.
Key to the performance of these French SUVs is their new 96.9 kWh battery, produced in the ACC gigafactory in Douvrin, France. Despite being only 15 mm thicker than the 73 kWh version, this larger battery offers increased efficiency and relatively short charging durations.
With a capacity for 160 kW DC charging, the battery can recharge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 27 minutes. Powering the new Long Range versions is a front-mounted 230 PS electric motor, which complements the existing 210 PS motor available in earlier models.
In addition to the upgraded powertrain, these vehicles introduce a battery pre-conditioning feature. This new system optimizes charging during long trips by warming the battery ahead of time, ensuring faster charging stops.
Both the Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range versions will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show, scheduled from October 14 to 20 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Peugeot has also confirmed that these models will be covered by an eight-year, 160,000-km zero-emission vehicle warranty, ensuring long-term reliability for customers.
