Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour Star in Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts’ Trailer

The first trailer for “Thunderbolts” has been released by Marvel, with the film set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. In this upcoming superhero film, a group of reformed villains, featuring “Captain America” veteran Sebastian Stan alongside “Black Widow” stars Florence Pugh and David Harbour, is compelled to join forces for secret missions on behalf of the U.S. government.

The cast of “Thunderbolts” also includes Olga Kurylenko, reprising her role as Taskmaster from “Black Widow,” Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost from “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” Russell as John Walker from “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the scheming Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Additionally, Lewis Pullman, known for his role in “Top Gun: Maverick,” portrays a mysterious character named Bob.

In the trailer, Pugh confronts her teammates, stating, “Everyone here has done bad things. Shadow ops, robbing government labs, contract kills. … Someone wants us gone.” Louis-Dreyfus, playing the devious CIA director, reflects, “We’re brought up with this belief that there are good guys and bad guys. But eventually, you come to realize there are bad guys and worse guys. And nothing else.”

Directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Kevin Feige, “Thunderbolts” is adapted from Kurt Busiek’s comic series of the same name. Executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez, and Scarlett Johansson. The screenplay is crafted by Eric Pearson, along with “Beef” creator Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo, co-showrunner of “The Bear.” Check out the trailer for “Thunderbolts” below.
