Lita, a WWE Hall of Famer who has competed in several matches since her 2018 Royal Rumble return, has her sights set on a former Women’s World Champion for a potential in-ring comeback.
During a recent Q&A session at a Monopoly Events gathering in Northern Ireland, where she appeared alongside Trish Stratus, Lita was asked which current WWE star she would like to face.
The former member of Team Xtreme expressed her interest in a match against Rhea Ripley, applauding Ripley’s impressive development as a wrestler in recent years. “I had a brief moment with Rhea Ripley during the Royal Rumble, and she’s grown so much since then. She’s added depth to her character, and I think facing her would be amazing,” Lita shared.
Ripley has often spoken highly of Lita, admiring her both as a person and as a competitor she’d love to face. She’s even publicly requested WWE to make the match happen. Lita has previously mentioned that stepping into the ring with Ripley would push her beyond her comfort zone, which she sees as a great challenge for her skills.
Although they haven’t yet faced each other in a singles or tag team bout, the two briefly crossed paths during the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match, where Ripley and Lita had a short exchange before Charlotte Flair eliminated Lita.
The last time Lita wrestled was at WrestleMania last year, teaming with Stratus and Becky Lynch to defeat Damage CTRL’s Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai.
