Montez Ford has spent his entire WWE career since 2016 as one half of the Street Profits, teaming with Angelo Dawkins. After several years in developmental, which included winning the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship, Ford and Dawkins made their main roster debut during the 2019 draft.
Although they’ve enjoyed multiple title reigns, they have yet to reach the next level of stardom in WWE. During a recent appearance on “The Masked Man Show,” Ford’s wife, Bianca Belair, expressed her conviction that he is ready for a singles breakout.
Belair stated, “He’s prepared for this. He loves being part of a tag team, and Dawkins feels like a brother to him. Sometimes he feels torn because he thinks, ‘I should prioritize our tag team.'”
While 2024 started quietly for Ford and Dawkins, the duo has recently made a comeback with appearances on “WWE SmackDown” and a brief return to “WWE NXT.” Belair believes they are often underestimated within WWE’s current tag team scene, but she has faith that Ford will eventually get his chance to shine.
“All he needs is an opportunity, and he will soar,” Belair added. “I can’t wait to support him as he has supported me. It’s surprising how he sometimes downplays his abilities. I have to remind him, ‘You are a Triple Crown Champion.'”
The multi-time WWE champion is confident that her husband has all the necessary tools to succeed at a high level in the industry, yet he hasn’t fully showcased his potential to fans. Although waiting for his breakout moment can be challenging, it only builds anticipation for when Ford finally takes the spotlight, and Belair is eager to witness it.
