Glenn Jacobs, better known as Kane, established himself as one of WWE’s most iconic characters after wrestling for various promotions like Smokey Mountain Wrestling and the Catch Wrestling Association in the mid-1990s.
While Kane is often remembered for his sinister persona, his relationship with his onscreen brother, The Undertaker, marked a part of his career, featuring both teamwork and fierce rivalries.
During an interview on “Six Feet Under,” Kane recounted his initial encounter with “The Phenom,” reflecting on the experience of seeing him backstage for the first time.
“My first glimpse of you [The Undertaker] in person was at a TV taping in a place like Glen Falls, New York, and it was wild,” Jacobs shared. “I’ve always been a fan of The Undertaker.
From the moment he debuted, I thought he was the greatest wrestling character ever. So, when I came in for my tryout and saw Mark walking down the hallway in his Undertaker attire, it was a bit unsettling. He had on the white face and everything, and I thought, ‘Wow, does he really look like that?'”
In 2001, Kane and The Undertaker, known as The Brothers of Destruction, won the WWE World Tag Team Championships three times.
However, after that year, they never captured the titles together again and instead engaged in a rivalry over the World Heavyweight Championship three times in 2010.
