Jey Uso Seeks to Create a Strong Tag Team Dynamic with Fellow WWE Superstar

Embracing his role as a singles competitor, Jey Uso has made an impact, yet he remains one of the most accomplished WWE wrestlers in the history of the tag team division. In 2023, he and his brother Jimmy set the record for the longest tag title reign.

While some critics argue that his singles storyline has been inconsistent, Uso appears to be contemplating a return to tag team wrestling, though not alongside Jimmy. In a recent interview with Metro, he expressed a desire to partner with former Bloodline member Sami Zayn, who once held the title of “Honorary Uce.”

Jey Uso hints at a potential tag team reunion with former Bloodline member Sami Zayn in a recent interview with Metro (WWE)

“I know we had our feuds on-screen, but behind the scenes, we genuinely care for each other, and that chemistry translated well on TV,” Uso shared. “You might catch glimpses of us together on ‘Raw,’ but I really want to form a full-fledged tag team with him and see where that leads.”

Reflecting on Zayn’s time in The Bloodline, Uso noted it was a unique experience. Zayn was the only non-blood relative in the faction besides Paul Heyman, and his involvement coincided with one of the most celebrated arcs in the group’s history.

Their alliance came to an end during the 2023 Royal Rumble, leading Zayn and Kevin Owens to defeat the Usos, ending their record title reign at WrestleMania 39. “Being part of The Bloodline with Sami Zayn was one of the highlights of my wrestling career,” Uso remarked.

Both Zayn and Uso are currently competing on “Raw,” with each focusing on individual ambitions. Zayn is pushing for a World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER, while Uso is gearing up for a WWE Intercontinental Championship bout with Bron Breakker.

Nonetheless, they seem to be inching toward a regular tag team partnership, making them credible contenders for the current World Tag Team Champions, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day.
