Although she doesn’t compete under her father’s wrestling persona, fans recognize Arianna Grace from “WWE NXT” as the daughter of former WWE star Santino Marella. Since joining WWE in 2022, Grace has been steadily carving out her niche in “NXT,” and the partnership between WWE and TNA has provided them with a unique opportunity for a televised reunion.
Marella, who has been with TNA since 2017, currently plays an onscreen authority figure. At the Victory Road 2024 pay-per-view, Grace joined him in her capacity as the “NXT”/TNA Liaison.
The segment began with Marella enthusiastically embracing his daughter as she entered, but Grace promptly reminded him of her desire to establish her own identity in TNA and maintain professionalism. True to form, Marella entertained the audience with his trademark antics while attempting to pronounce “the ‘NXT’ Liaison.”
Grace had to correct him on the pronunciation, yet his pride in her accomplishments was evident. “It’s gonna be fun that you’re here and we can work together — but remember, when we’re here, it’s ‘Hey, I take this very seriously!’ okay?” she reiterated to ensure he understood her commitment to her role. Marella responded warmly, “You’re professional. You’re great. Look, come on, my little Liaison,” as Grace walked away.
Grace also shared her thoughts online about the clip. “As Miss ‘NXT’ and the new liaison of NXTNA, I must say that I do look forward to working with you, Mr. Marella,” she posted. While the future of her involvement in the TNA/WWE partnership is uncertain, this collaboration has certainly allowed for a heartwarming moment between father and daughter.
