WWE Brings Back 2000s Favorite with New Legends Contract

According to PWInsider, former WWE manager Armando Alejandro Estrada has now secured a Legends Contract with the company. These contracts provide retired stars with the chance to earn income from various sources like merchandise sales and appearances on TV shows and in video games.

Estrada’s WWE journey began in 2004 at the promotion’s former developmental territory, OVW. There, he participated in tag team matches and served as a bodyguard/manager for other wrestlers. His rise to prominence came from managing the late Umaga between 2006 and 2007, a period during which he guided Umaga to win the Intercontinental Championship. Following his initial run, Estrada transitioned to become the general manager of the revamped ECW before being released in 2008.

Estrada made a return to WWE in 2010, being paired briefly with Tyson Kidd as part of a storyline where Kidd was searching for a manager. However, this partnership was short-lived, and Estrada was once again released in 2012. His final in-ring appearance took place in 2013, but he made a comeback in 2019, managing Umaga’s nephew, Jacob Fatu, also known as the “Samoan Werewolf” and part of the emerging Bloodline. Estrada’s signing follows in the footsteps of other recent legends like Jacqueline and Victoria.
