Level 33 Entertainment has secured the North American distribution rights for “All You Need Is Blood,” a zombie horror-comedy featuring Mena Suvari. The film is scheduled to debut on the KINO Studio app on October 12, with a broader release on traditional VOD platforms to follow.
Having premiered at last year’s Sitges Film Festival, “All You Need Is Blood” has garnered acclaim on the genre festival circuit, including winning the Fangoria Award at Make Believe Seattle.
This film marks the directorial debut of Bucky Le Boeuf, who also wrote the screenplay. The plot centers on Bucky, a 16-year-old aspiring filmmaker who dreams of achieving arthouse fame. When a meteor crash lands in his yard and transforms his father into a zombie, Bucky and his friends see it as the perfect opportunity to make a horror film starring his undead dad.
However, they soon discover that working with real zombies presents challenges, particularly for Bucky, who is squeamish about blood. Suvari plays a diva actress, Logan Riley Bruner portrays Bucky, and Eddie Griffin takes on the role of a devout detective.
The film was produced by Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman, and Jesse Korman of Yale Entertainment in collaboration with Russ Posternak of Post Films, known for producing the indie hits “Becky” and “The Wrath of Becky.” Executive producers include Clay Pecorin, Russell Geyser, Brian S. Unger, Eric Broughton, Roz Rothstein, Michael J. Rothstein, Nicholas Donnermeyer, Will Hirschfeld, Jason Kringstein, Scott Levenson, Jeffrey Tussi, and David Nazar.
“We’re thrilled to present this witty and inventive ‘Zom-Com’ to audiences in the U.S. and Canada,” said Andreas Olavarria, president and CEO of Level 33 Entertainment. “The synergy between a talented creative team and an innovative platform like KINO Studio is truly exciting.”
KINO Studio offers an interactive social streaming experience, giving filmmakers valuable data insights and a platform to connect with their audience. It enables fans to engage with content through interactive screenings, behind-the-scenes access, and a dynamic “TikTok for film” environment.
