Jaecoo Malaysia has reported that the delivery of the J7 AWD SUV is surpassing expectations, with over 500 units already in the hands of customers. This follows the initial distribution of 500 units to dealers earlier this month.
Leo Chen, Executive VP of Chery Corporate Malaysia, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response from customers eagerly anticipating their Jaecoo J7 SUV, whether for daily commutes or off-road adventures. He assured that Jaecoo Malaysia remains committed to maintaining high-quality standards and meeting rigorous international safety requirements for every vehicle.
Next on the agenda are the deliveries of the J7’s 2WD variant, which Jaecoo Malaysia expects to arrive at dealerships ahead of the original September timeline. The J7, which is assembled locally at Chery’s new Shah Alam facility, made its debut on July 19.
In addition, Jaecoo Malaysia has introduced the J-Club, a special owners’ club offering benefits such as servicing discounts, exclusive events like glamping and car care workshops, artist collaborations, auto shows, and even a chance to visit Chery’s factory in China.
Emily Lek, VP of Jaecoo Malaysia, highlighted the brand’s dedication to providing a premium ownership experience through J-Club. Members will enjoy personalized service from skilled Jaecoo staff and ongoing engagement beyond the vehicle purchase.
The inaugural J-Club event is set for September 7 at Sentul Pavilion, KL. Members will receive updates through email, WhatsApp, WeChat, and the J-Club Facebook page.
Both AWD and 2WD versions of the Jaecoo J7 feature a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 194 hp and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission. Positioned similarly to the Toyota Corolla Cross, the J7 is priced at RM138,800 for the 2WD and RM148,800 for the AWD.
