Book the GWM Haval H6 Hybrid in Malaysia – Launching Q3 with Expected Price Under RM145k

Great Wall Motor Malaysia has announced that the Haval H6 Hybrid will be launched in the third quarter of this year, aligning with their earlier May announcement. Before its official release, the company has started accepting orders for the hybrid SUV, with an estimated price tag under RM145,000.

This launch marks a milestone for GWM, as the H6 Hybrid will be their first locally assembled CKD (Completely Knocked Down) vehicle in Malaysia, produced by EPMB in Melaka. The SUV was first previewed in China earlier this year in its local specification, and was later showcased at the Malaysia Autoshow, where its features and trims were fully disclosed.

H6 Hybrid combines a 1.5L turbo petrol engine and electric motor for a total output of 243 PS and 530 Nm (GWM)

Originally, it was anticipated that two variants would be available in Malaysia—a standard and a high-spec version. However, recent updates indicate that only the Ultra variant, the high-spec model, will be offered in the local market.

The H6 Hybrid’s powertrain combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 150 PS and 230 Nm of torque with a 177 PS and 300 Nm electric motor. This electric motor is integrated into a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), which optimally uses the electric motor for primary propulsion and the petrol engine at higher speeds, depending on driving conditions. The total system output is 243 PS (240 hp) and 530 Nm.

Externally, the H6 features a “Star Matrix” grille, Matrix LED headlights, and 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels. Inside, the Ultra variant boasts a black-and-white interior with rose gold accents, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Additional amenities include dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a powered tailgate, a Qi wireless charger, an eight-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, and a front passenger seat with a ‘boss seat’ shoulder switch.
