According to TMZ, Cruise’s grand finale will involve rappelling from the peak of Stade de France, dramatically descending into the stadium while brandishing an Olympic flag. The broadcast will then transition to a pre-recorded segment where Cruise parachutes into Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Olympics, and lands on the Hollywood sign. Although Cruise was spotted at the landmark filming in March, his stunt at the time seemed relatively tame compared to his usual daredevil acts.

Surprisingly, this audacious plan didn’t originate from an overzealous member of the International Olympic Committee. The Guardian reveals that Cruise himself proposed this spectacle. Having previously carried the Olympic torch through Los Angeles ahead of the 2004 Games, Cruise’s latest stunt aligns with his penchant for dramatic and engaging events.
