2025 VW ID.Buzz Launches with $61,545 Starting Price

2025 VW ID.Buzz (Volkswagen)

It feels like ages since the Volkswagen ID.Buzz made its debut, yet the electric microbus still hasn’t arrived in U.S. dealerships. That’s set to change by the end of this year when the 1st Edition models become available. Now, we have details on the pricing for the full lineup, and it’s clear that the ID.Buzz is not a budget-friendly option.

The entry-level ID.Buzz Pro S starts at $61,545, including Volkswagen’s $1,550 destination fee. This model features a rear-wheel-drive system with a single motor and can accommodate up to seven passengers.

Buyers of the ID.Buzz can expect a luxurious experience, with features like heated and ventilated power front seats and massage functions (Volkswagen)

Despite being the base version, the Pro S is well-appointed with a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, a 5.3-inch digital driver display, three-zone climate control, and heated and ventilated 12-way power front seats with massage functions. It comes with 20-inch wheels and offers three exterior color choices: white, black, or silver.

Volkswagen has also revealed new interior color options: “Copper” for a lighter tone, “Moonlight” for a darker hue, and “Dune,” a white and copper two-tone combination. The company has also released the first EPA-estimated range figures, which are somewhat disappointing. The rear-wheel-drive ID.Buzz is expected to offer 234 miles per charge, while the all-wheel-drive version provides a slightly lower range of 231 miles.

Initially, the 1st Edition will be the only trim available. Volkswagen has announced that this model will be arriving at dealerships by the end of the year, though the exact launch date remains unconfirmed.
