A scathing report released two weeks ago has embroiled Casey Wasserman, the grandson of the famed Hollywood figure Lew Wasserman, in controversy. The allegations, which Wasserman has not publicly addressed, accuse him of engaging in multiple affairs with junior employees over an extended period.
This news has stirred unease among celebrities, political figures, and industry insiders as Los Angeles gears up for the Olympics. The scandal has also put a spotlight on his agency, known for representing stars like Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan, and Megan Rapinoe. The most outstanding consequence has been Billie Eilish’s decision to leave Wasserman’s agency in favor of competitor WME.
The August 1 article by the Daily Mail described Wasserman as a “serial cheater,” detailing allegations involving several former and current employees. Eilish and her team were reportedly dismayed to be linked with these accusations, despite Eilish having minimal direct dealings with Wasserman. Following the scandal, Eilish’s team chose to sever ties with Wasserman.
Although Eilish was committed to performing at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony, the scandal accelerated her switch to WME. The Daily Mail’s report also named Patricia Feau, a former assistant to Wasserman now working with LA28, as one of the alleged affairs, though Feau has denied these claims.
