Emily in Paris returns for its fourth season, and the drama continues to unfold for Emily, Gabriel, Alfie, and Camille within the first five episodes. If you’ve already binged through Part One, here’s everything you need to know about when Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2, will be available on Netflix.
Created by Darren Star, this fan-favorite Netflix romance drama first premiered in October 2020 and launched its fourth season on August 15, 2024.
This new season picks up right after the explosive finale of Season 3, where Alfie ends his relationship with Emily after Camille reveals at the altar that Emily and Gabriel have always been in love with each other. The season ended on a cliffhanger, with Emily discovering that Camille is pregnant with Gabriel’s child.
Now, Emily finds herself torn between her feelings for Gabriel and Alfie. Season 4 sees “Emily and Gabriel’s undeniable chemistry as they work together toward earning a Michelin star for Gabriel’s restaurant, but two significant secrets threaten to unravel all their hard work,” according to the official synopsis.
Series creator Darren Star hinted that the fourth season will take Emily on a whirlwind journey, telling Netflix’s Tudum, “Emily finds herself with a hectic travel schedule.”
Star added, “From the French Alps to the piazzas of Rome, viewers will be able to experience stunning new locations through Emily’s eyes. Expect to meet new characters, encounter more drama and romance, and see Emily try her hand at mastering a new language.”

While the first three seasons also featured 10 episodes, this is the first time the show is following Netflix’s two-part release strategy. This approach has been used for other popular series on the platform, including Bridgerton, Stranger Things, and The Witcher.

What Will Emily in Paris Season 4, Part 2, Be About?
Part Two of Emily in Paris Season 4 will pick up right where Part One left off. (Here’s a detailed recap of what happened in the first five episodes, including the ending.)
By the end of Episode 5, Emily has chosen Gabriel over Alfie. Camille and Sofia’s relationship has ended, and Camille is not actually pregnant; her test was a false positive. Despite this, Camille decides not to tell Gabriel, fearing it will hurt him, and because she still wants to remain a part of his life.
There’s bittersweet news for Gabriel’s restaurant as well. Luc’s girlfriend, Marianne, had been pretending to be a Michelin inspector after being fired a year earlier. This likely means Gabriel won’t receive a Michelin star, but the chef feels relieved as it takes the pressure off, allowing him to fire his pastry chef.
The team at Agence Grateau is back together, with Julien rejoining the firm after a brief stint working at JVMA earlier in the season. Upcoming episodes will likely show Sylvie facing more challenges from CEO Louis de Leon, who is dealing with the fallout from a damaging news article she helped with.
While the plot for Part Two remains under wraps, viewers can expect to see Mindy and her band performing in the Eurovision Song Contest. Emily is also expected to leave Paris for Rome, though by the end of Part One, the reasons behind her departure remain unclear. Stay tuned for the official trailer for Season 4, Part 2. Emily in Paris is currently streaming on Netflix.
