In a new trailer for Sony and Marvel’s “Kraven the Hunter,” Aaron Taylor-Johnson demonstrates his fierce role as the iconic Spider-Man villain. The trailer, the first new glimpse of the film in over a year, showcases Taylor-Johnson’s character unleashing intense brutality, including stabbing enemies, setting bear traps, and shoving foes through windows.
Set to Johnny Cash’s “The Man Comes Around,” the footage highlights Taylor-Johnson’s transformation from a mere hitman into the formidable Kraven fans recognize.
The film explores Kraven’s tumultuous relationship with his harsh father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), setting him on a path of vengeance that shapes him into the world’s greatest and most feared hunter. Alongside Taylor-Johnson and Crowe, the cast includes Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, and Christopher Abbott.
Directed by J.C. Chandor, known for “Margin Call,” the film features a story by Richard Wenk (“The Equalizer” films) and a screenplay co-written by Wenk, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway. Benjamin Wallfisch has composed the score, while Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Householter serve as producers.
As the latest addition to Sony’s Marvel universe, which includes “Venom,” “Morbius,” and “Madame Web,” “Kraven the Hunter” will be released by Columbia Pictures on December 13, following multiple date changes.
