Banijay Asia Teams Up with India’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment in Major Strategic Move

A new collaboration between Banijay Asia and India’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE) is set to make waves in the entertainment industry, focusing on creating original series and films as well as adapting international successes for Indian audiences. Banijay Asia, under CEO Deepak Dhar, and NGE, led by veteran producer Sajid Nadiadwala, aim to craft high-quality content for both Indian and global viewers.

Sajid Nadiadwala’s contributions to Indian cinema include popular franchises such as “Housefull” and “Baaghi,” along with acclaimed films like “Chhichhore,” “Super 30,” and “Highway.” His recent works include “Chandu Champion” and “Satyaprem Ki Katha,” with “Housefull 5” on the horizon, featuring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in the latest installment of the successful comedy series.

Banijay Asia has made a mark with its adaptations of international hits like “The Night Manager” for Disney+ Hotstar and “Call My Agent: Bollywood” for Netflix, alongside original productions such as “Dahan” and “Undekhi.” The company’s diverse portfolio also includes popular non-scripted shows like “The Kapil Sharma Show” and “MTV Roadies,” with upcoming adaptations of “Monk,” “House,” and “Suits.”

Deepak Dhar, founder and group CEO of Banijay Asia and EndemolShine India, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, praising Nadiadwala’s unmatched contributions and global appeal. Sajid Nadiadwala also expressed excitement, highlighting the potential to push entertainment boundaries through this collaboration.

Mrinalini Jain, group chief development officer at Banijay Asia, emphasized that the partnership blends their content development strengths with Nadiadwala’s cinematic expertise, aiming to deliver innovative and capturing content for audiences both in India and internationally.

The Nadiadwala family’s film production legacy, spanning from Abdul Karim Nadiadwala to Sajid’s debut in 1992 with “Zulm Ki Hukumat,” adds a rich history to this promising collaboration.
