Emerging Indian actor Taha Shah Badussha, who captured attention with his role in Netflix’s “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” has embarked on a new chapter with a three-film agreement at Ramesh Sippy Entertainment. Badussha, noted for his compelling portrayal of Tajdar Baloch in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s renowned series, is poised to further his career through this promising partnership.
Ramesh Sippy, a legendary figure in Indian cinema, is celebrated for his 1975 blockbuster “Sholay,” which remains a milestone in the industry. His illustrious directing career also boasts classics such as “Andaz” (1971) and “Seeta Aur Geeta” (1972), along with memorable hits like “Shaan” (1980) and “Shakti” (1982). His influence extends to the iconic television series “Buniyaad” (1987).
The roster of films produced by Ramesh Sippy Entertainment includes outstanding successes like “Bluffmaster” (2005), “Taxi No. 9 2 11: Nau Do Gyarah” (2006), and “Dum Maaro Dum” (2011), as well as the widely acclaimed Netflix series “Aranyak.” Badussha, who recently portrayed prince Murad in the ZEE5 saga “Taj: Divided by Blood” (2023), is also set to appear in “Paro: The Untold Story of Slavery.”
Rohan Sippy, who will helm the first of Badussha’s upcoming films, is known for his work on “Bluffmaster,” “Dum Maaro Dum,” and “Nautanki Saala,” and his role as showrunner for “Aranyak.” He lauded Badussha’s distinctive energy and commitment, remarking, “His talent and connection with audiences are truly impressive.”
