The weekly viewership rankings from Luminate highlighted the impressive debut of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” on Netflix, with 699.1 million minutes streamed in its first full week. This performance placed it ahead of other streaming originals for the period of August 2-8.

The previous week had seen a slow pace in streaming, with Season 6 of “Love Island USA” achieving 386.5 million minutes watched from July 26 to August 1. Despite this, “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” managed a strong debut, though the summer trend persisted as “Love Island USA” held the No. 2 spot with 365.9 million minutes in its second week.

In film viewership, “Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie,” set in the SpongeBob universe, led with 325.9 million minutes watched, far surpassing “Find Me Falling,” which had 148.1 million minutes in its third week.

The “Rebel Moon” films also reappeared on the chart, taking third and fourth places due to newly released director’s cuts. Finishing the week, titles like “Descendants: The Ride of Red,” “Knox Goes Away,” and “My Spy: The Eternal City” had less than 125 million minutes watched.
