The Latest Lamborghini Leans Heavily into Hexagonal Design

Lamborghini’s next supercar, slated for its official debut on August 16 at Pebble Beach, has been captured in final testing sessions in Spain. Though still cloaked in camouflage, the car, believed to be called “Temerario,” teases its design with the familiar hexagon motif that remains prominent.

The six-sided exhaust and matching taillights are standout features, echoing the Huracan Tecnica’s design but with a more pronounced appearance due to the larger, centrally positioned exhaust finisher. The rear bumper showcases a sleek look with its corners trimmed, revealing the hefty tires.

An aggressive diffuser, complete with an F1-style light, sits between the tires, while vents on either side of the license plate aid in cooling the engine. The powerplant has shifted from a naturally aspirated V-10 to a newly developed twin-turbo V-8, delivering 789 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque.

This engine is complemented by three electric motors, boosting the total output to over 887 horsepower, with the engine boasting a 10,000-rpm redline. Up front, the “Y”-shaped daytime running lights draw inspiration from the Revuelto, while the lower lights are hexagon-shaped, maintaining Lamborghini’s longstanding design language dating back to the 1967 Marzal concept.

Lamborghini has emphasized that this will be a completely new vehicle, distinguishing it from any potential Audi R8 counterpart. Audi, the parent company of Lamborghini, has ended production of its mid-engine supercar and has no plans for a direct successor, though an electric model is expected in the future.
