The pricing for the highly anticipated 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona has recently surfaced online, revealing that the First Edition will start at $68,570. This information was leaked through Mopar enthusiasts on MoparInsiders, who credit YouTuber Butter da Insider as the source. However, Dodge and Stellantis have yet to officially confirm these figures.
The new, eighth-generation Dodge Charger represents a serious departure from the previous model, which had a long 12-year run. This new version marks a shift from internal combustion engines to an all-electric powertrain, aligning with Stellantis’ broader electric vehicle strategy.
The traditional 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 and various HEMI V-8 engines are being retired as part of this transition. Dodge is introducing the new all-electric Charger with a special “First Edition” model that boasts unique features and appointments, reflecting its introductory status. This version commands a premium price of $70,000, which is $15,000 more than the outgoing V-8 HEMI-powered model.
For comparison, the 2023 Dodge Charger R/T with the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 was priced at $45,065, while the more powerful Charger Scat Pack with the 6.4-liter HEMI was listed at $51,925. If the leaked details are accurate, the Daytona R/T First Edition will offer an additional 40 horsepower from its all-electric setup, totaling approximately 496 hp thanks to the “Direct Connection eStage 1 Upgrade.”
This model will include the “Plus Group” package with features such as leather-wrapped performance seats, adjustable ambient lighting, a 16-inch gauge cluster, and upgraded LED headlights. Additional amenities include a fixed glass moonroof and an 18-speaker Alpine PRO sound system. The Blacktop Appearance Package will also be standard, featuring black 20×9-inch aluminum wheels.
Those interested in the higher-end Daytona Scat Pack with “Configuration 1” will face a price tag of $82,170. This model is expected to deliver 670 hp with the “Direct Connection eStage 2 Upgrade” and includes the Track Pack with enhanced Brembo brakes, performance leather seats, and an onboard recording system. It will also feature the “Plus Group” package and the Carbon & Suede Package.
The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is set to debut soon, offering up to 670 hp in its most potent configuration. As the first all-electric Charger, it will feature simulated ICE noises to mimic the V-8 engine experience and will be available in R/T, Scat Pack, and Scat Pack with Track Package trims, with even more powerful models anticipated in the future.
