The Zeekr 009 has recently made an appearance in Malaysia, just a few months after the X was spotted in June. Both of these models are set to launch later this year, with the 009 having undergone an update last month.
A photo shared by Yuri Iskandar in the Malaysian Electric Vehicle Owners Club (MyEVOC) on Facebook, and additional images from paultan.org reader Enson Chan, reveal the 009 without camouflage and fitted with trade plates and ‘Star’ wheels, available in 19- or 20-inch sizes.
The absence of a prominent shark fin antenna suggests this is the refreshed 009 first introduced in Hong Kong. In that market, the right-hand drive (RHD) version is priced starting at HKD755,000 (around RM430k) and comes in both six- and seven-seat configurations. The Hong Kong 009 features a 400V system with dual motors and a 116-kWh battery, offering a range of up to 582 km according to WLTP standards.
For the Chinese market, the 009 default model includes an 800V system with options for front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The new front-motor variant delivers 421 PS (416 hp or 310 kW) and 440 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.
The dual-motor AWD model matches the earlier 009 Grand’s performance, with 789 PS (778 hp or 580 kW) and 810 Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and the same top speed.
Both FWD and AWD versions come with a 108-kWh NMC battery, capable of fast charging from 10-80% in just 11.5 minutes due to the 800V architecture. This 5C charging system indicates the battery’s rapid charge capability. The FWD version offers up to 740 km of range under the CLTC standard, while the AWD provides up to 702 km.
There’s also an option for a 140-kWh battery with a 400V system, extending ranges to 900 km for FWD and 850 km for AWD. All 009 variants feature CCD electromagnetic damping and air suspension, with prices in China ranging from 439,000 to 469,000 yuan (approximately RM272k to RM291k).
Given that Hong Kong is the first to receive the latest RHD 009, Malaysian specifications are likely to align with this market. Zeekr’s premium MPV is poised to compete directly with the Toyota Alphard/Vellfire, offering a high level of equipment.
Standard features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.05-inch OLED touchscreen infotainment system, a 17-inch OLED rear ceiling display, ‘Sofaro’ Nappa leather seats, two executive chairs in the second row, power-sliding doors, a 30-speaker Yamaha sound system, and a comprehensive ADAS suite.
