Mitsubishi Xforce (Mitsubishi)

The Mitsubishi Xforce earned a five-star rating under the 2021-2025 Asean NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries) assessment, achieving an overall score of 79.15. This marks the second model from Mitsubishi to be evaluated using this protocol, following the 2024 Triton.

Spotted on Malaysian roads back in February, the B-segment SUV is anticipated to launch later this year, although it’s likely to arrive after the third-generation Triton pick-up truck debuts locally.

The tested variant, the Exceed, originates from Indonesia and is slated for sale in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. According to Asean NCAP, the Xforce delivered an “outstanding performance” in its evaluation, securing a five-star rating across all assessment categories.

Standard passive safety features include four airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, seat belt reminders for both front and rear passengers, and pedestrian protection technology across all variants.

Additionally, the Xforce offers autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot detection, and automatic high beam either as standard or optional features.

In the adult occupant protection (AOP) category, it scored 27.91 out of 32.00 points, while in the child occupant protection (COP) category, it achieved 43.43 out of 51.00 points. The safety assist category earned it 15.59 out of 21.00 points, and it scored 9.91 out of 16.00 points in the motorcyclist safety category.
