The WWE family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sika Anoa’i, a revered WWE Hall of Famer and one half of the iconic tag team, The Wild Samoans.
As a pioneer in the sports-entertainment industry, Sika’s legendary status was cemented through his formidable partnership with his brother, Arthur “Afa” Anoa’i Sr. Together, they dominated the WWE tag team division in the late 1970s and early 1980s, capturing the championship on three occasions with their unbridled ferocity and unrelenting style.
Following his illustrious career, Sika continued to contribute to the WWE legacy by establishing The Wild Samoan Training Facility alongside Afa, nurturing future generations of WWE Superstars, including the esteemed Batista.
Sika’s enduring impact on the WWE universe was further perpetuated through his sons, Rosey and Roman Reigns, as well as the broader Anoa’i family, who have left an indelible mark on the industry.
In recognition of their monumental contributions, The Wild Samoans were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, solidifying their status as one of the greatest tag teams in history.
Sika’s legacy will forever be enshrined in the annals of WWE history, serving as a testament to his unwavering dedication, unbridled passion, and unrelenting spirit
