Baltimore Orioles Will Play the First of Four Games Against the Texas Rangers

The Baltimore Orioles, riding high with a 50-30 record and a 26-16 home record, are set to host the Texas Rangers in the first game of a four-game series on Thursday at 6:35 p.m. EDT.

The Orioles, favored at -213, will send Corbin Burnes to the mound against the Rangers’ Jon Gray. Texas, with a 37-43 record and a 17-24 road record, is looking to turn their fortunes around.

The Orioles have been impressive when hitting two or more home runs, boasting a 34-6 record in such games. The Rangers, meanwhile, have excelled when out-hitting their opponents, with a 30-9 record in those contests.

Adley Rutschman has been a standout for the Orioles, with 12 doubles and 14 home runs. Gunnar Henderson has also been hot, going 15-for-40 with four doubles and five home runs over the last 10 games.

For the Rangers, Corey Seager leads the team with 14 home runs and a .441 slugging percentage. Josh Smith has also been impressive, going 8-for-28 with three home runs and eight RBI over the past 10 games.

Both teams have experienced ups and downs in their last 10 games, with the Orioles going 4-6 and the Rangers also going 4-6.

The Orioles have outscored their opponents by one run, while the Rangers have been outscored by eight. Several players on both teams are currently sidelined with injuries, including Tyler Wells, Cole Winn, and Jacob deGrom.
