David Bakhtiari Hopes for NFL Comeback After Fifth Knee Surgery, Aiming for Super Bowl Win

David Bakhtiari, a veteran left tackle formerly with the Green Bay Packers, has faced significant challenges due to recurring knee issues over the past few seasons. Despite undergoing his fifth knee surgery in November, Bakhtiari remains optimistic about his football future.

He expressed satisfaction with his recovery progress, highlighting that the procedure was essential to address the persistent pain and instability that had plagued him for years.

The initial trouble began when Bakhtiari tore his ACL in December 2020, severely limiting his availability in subsequent seasons to just 13 out of 51 possible regular-season games. However, he credits his surgeon, Brian Cole, for a successful procedure that has left him feeling “really good” and ahead of his rehabilitation schedule.

Looking ahead, Bakhtiari aims not only to fully recover but also to resume playing at a high level for several more years. He emphasizes his commitment to being a cornerstone player, capable of contributing consistently throughout the season and into the playoffs, underscoring his desire to win a Super Bowl, an achievement that has eluded him thus far in his career.

Despite interest from other teams, Bakhtiari insists on ensuring his readiness and physical condition before committing to any offers. He anticipates making a decision close to the start of the NFL season, ensuring he can integrate seamlessly into any team’s roster without compromising his effectiveness as a left tackle.

Regarding his former team and quarterbacks, Bakhtiari reflects on his tenure protecting Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love, expressing confidence in their future successes. He acknowledges organizational changes but remains optimistic about their prospects, predicting playoff appearances for both Rodgers and Love in the upcoming season.

Bakhtiari’s resilience in the face of adversity underscores his determination to continue his football career, prioritizing both his health and his ambition to achieve championship success in the NFL.
