Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry provided an optimistic update on quarterback Deshaun Watson’s recovery from shoulder surgery during an appearance on NFL Network’s “The Insiders.” Berry stated that Watson is ahead of schedule and eager to resume full activity, indicating he has been throwing every other day throughout the off-season program.

This regimen follows surgery to repair a displaced fracture to his throwing shoulder, an injury that sidelined him for the latter part of the 2023 season, including the playoffs.

Despite progress, Watson has not yet received full clearance to participate in unrestricted practice sessions, although he did engage in 7-on-7 drills during mandatory minicamp.
