Ferrari’s pioneering electric vehicle, set to debut in late 2025, will not only make a statement with its zero emissions but also produce a genuine sound, distinct from the fake combustion engine noises and simulated gear changes found in some electric cars.
According to Emanuele Carando, Product Marketing and Marketing Intelligence Director, the sound will be “always authentic in a Ferrari” and deliver “different emotions” compared to the current models.
While the exact sound remains a mystery, it’s likely to be an amplified version of the electric motor’s whine, ensuring an authentic experience.
This milestone marks a serious shift for the iconic brand, with the EV expected to account for 5% of sales in its first year and 40% by the end of the decade. Ferrari will offer a range of options, including pure gas engines, plug-in hybrids, and EVs, catering to diverse customer preferences.
The new production site in Maranello is being finalized, and the electric car will be built alongside traditional models, showcasing Ferrari’s commitment to innovation and tradition.
With its electric debut, Ferrari will beat rival Lamborghini to the market, solidifying its position in the evolving automotive landscape.
The unnamed model will pave the way for a new era of Ferrari cars, offering a unique driving experience that combines performance, sustainability, and emotion. As the brand cross this new territory, it remains true to its heritage, ensuring that the electric car will be a “true Ferrari” in every sense.
