Aspark SP600 Hypercar Sets New Electric Vehicle Speed Record, Reaching 272.6 MPH

The Aspark SP600, a Japanese electric hypercar, has made history by achieving a record-breaking speed of 272.6 mph. On June 8, the SP600 reached 438.7 km/h at the ATP proving ground in Papenburg, Germany, surpassing the Rimac Nevera’s record by 16.6 mph.

This impressive feat was accomplished by seasoned German racing driver Marc Basseng, who has a reputation for pushing cars to their limits. The SP600’s record-breaking run is a testament to its impressive capabilities, which have been honed through extensive testing and development.

Manufactured in Italy by Manifattura Automobili Torino, the SP600 boasts a sleek and aerodynamic design, bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race tires, and a powerful electric powertrain.

This achievement marks an outstanding milestone in the electric hypercar market, which is rapidly gaining momentum. The SP600’s speed also surpasses the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport’s 267.8 mph, solidifying its position as a top contender in the market.
