An Optional Package Enhancing the Ford Mustang GTD’s Performance is Now Available

The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is a high-performance variant of the iconic muscle car, and it’s heading to Le Mans in GT3 racing trim.

To mark the occasion, Ford has revealed new details about the street-legal version, including our first look at the interior and the availability of multiple option packages.

One of the most important options is the Performance pack, which focuses on weight reduction and aerodynamics.

The pack adds dive planes and a large splitter to the front fascia, a drag reduction system to the rear wing, and underbody flaps.

It also includes a Lightweight package that removes sound deadening and adds 20-inch magnesium wheels. The pack is designed to help the GTD achieve a sub-seven-minute lap at the Nurburgring, according to Ford.

The interior of the GTD features a number of upgrades, including standard Recaro seats, special graphics for the displays, titanium shift paddles, and a GTD-specific steering wheel.

The center console features two new buttons, one for accessing the Track Apps and another for activating the front-axle lift feature.

The GTD will be available in a special Carbon Series trim, which leaves the carbon fiber body unpainted on the hood, roof, and portions of the decklid.

It also adds a Magnetite finish to the wheels and can be paired with one of six standard exterior colors, including the new Chroma Flame shade.

Ford is planning a two-year production run for the GTD, with an estimated 1,400 units to be produced. Pricing is expected to start at around $325,000, but applications for the US and Canada are already closed.

Applications for Europe are set to open soon. Despite the high price tag, the GTD has already generated serious interest, with over 7,500 applications received from potential buyers in the US and Canada.
