Kristen Wiig hosted Saturday Night Live for the fifth time, joining the esteemed “Five-Timers Club.”
Her monologue featured an array of celebrity cameos, including Paul Rudd, Matt Damon, Jon Hamm, Martin Short, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, and Ryan Gosling, who humorously interrupted Wiig as she expressed her excitement about her achievement.
Wearing a “Five-Timers” jacket, Rudd revealed that Wiig would receive her jacket, sparking a series of comedic interruptions from Damon, Forte, and others, each donning the special coat.
Musical guest RAYE performed her hits “Escapism” and “Worth It,” adding to the evening’s entertainment.
The episode also included a skit with model Kaia Gerber, who appeared in a mock horror trailer titled “Pilates,” where Wiig played a terrifying instructor.
Rudd, Damon, Forte, and Armisen reappeared in a sketch about a chaotic retirement party, while Hamm joined Wiig in a skit called “Secretaries,” depicting office chaos.
Wiig, a former SNL cast member from 2005 to 2012, is celebrated for her memorable characters like Gilly and Judy Grimes. She recently revived her iconic Target Lady character in a new ad campaign for Target’s Circle Week, showcasing her comedic talents.
Wiig’s return to SNL was a nostalgic and star-studded affair, highlighting her comedic legacy and celebrating her place in the Five-Timers Club alongside legends like Tom Hanks and Bill Murray.
