Sony Pictures Animation is teaming up with the NBA to release an original animated sports comedy film, “Goat”, on February 13, 2026, during the NBA’s All-Star weekend in Los Angeles.
The movie is produced by Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton of Unanimous Media, Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Adam Rosenberg, and Rodney Rothman. Emmy-nominated director Tyree Dillihay will direct, with Adam Rosette co-directing. The screenplay is written by Aaron Buchsbaum and Teddy Riley.
“Goat” is a modern take on a classic story, set in a rich new world where amazing things happen. The film aims to resonate with families and sports fans alike, uplifting audiences with diverse characters and heartwarming storylines.
