NBA Star Stephen Curry Produces Animated Film ‘Goat’ with Unanimous Media

Sony Pictures Animation is teaming up with the NBA to release an original animated sports comedy film, “Goat”, on February 13, 2026, during the NBA’s All-Star weekend in Los Angeles.

The movie is produced by Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton of Unanimous Media, Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Adam Rosenberg, and Rodney Rothman. Emmy-nominated director Tyree Dillihay will direct, with Adam Rosette co-directing. The screenplay is written by Aaron Buchsbaum and Teddy Riley.

“Goat” is a modern take on a classic story, set in a rich new world where amazing things happen. The film aims to resonate with families and sports fans alike, uplifting audiences with diverse characters and heartwarming storylines. The team behind the film includes talented individuals with a track record of success in animation and sports.

Tyree Dillihay, the director, expressed his excitement about the project, saying it’s his dream come true. “As a lifelong fan of animation and sports, Goat is my dream project.

We’ve got a modern take on a classic story in a rich new world where amazing happens. I couldn’t ask for a better team of collaborators to help bring this experiential event to life,” said Dillihay.

Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton of Unanimous Media also shared their enthusiasm, looking forward to creating a special project that will resonate with audiences.
