Theo James is poised to join forces with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the highly anticipated heist thriller, “Fuze”. Directed by the acclaimed David Mackenzie, known for his work on “Hell or High Water” and “Outlaw King”, the film is set to begin production in early July.
The screenplay, penned by Ben Hopkins, follows the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site, leading to a mass evacuation that serves as the perfect cover for a daring heist.
The film boasts an impressive production team, including Gillian Berrie, Sebastien Raybaud, and Callum Grant, with Anton financing the project. Giles Nuttgens, known for his work on “Hell or High Water”, joins the team as director of photography. The film’s US rights will be co-represented by UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent, along with Anton.
Theo James, recognized for his roles in the “Divergent” series, Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen”, and the HBO series “The Time Traveler’s Wife”, received his first Emmy nomination for his performance in “The White Lotus” Season 2. He will next appear in Stephen King’s “The Monkey”, alongside Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood, which was recently acquired by Neon.
The film marks a reunion for Taylor-Johnson and director Mackenzie, who previously collaborated on “Outlaw King” in 2018. Taylor-Johnson’s upcoming projects include the lead role in Marvel’s “Kraven and the Hunter” and Robert Eggers’ “Nosferatu”.
James is represented by UTA, Markham, Froggatt & Irwin, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, while Taylor-Johnson is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, WME, and Sloane, Offer, Weber, and Dern, LLP.
