Da’Vine Joy Randolph, fresh from her Oscar win, has joined the cast of A24’s romantic comedy “Eternity”. Directed by David Freyne, the film boasts a talented ensemble, including Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, and Callum Turner.
This marks Randolph’s first collaboration with A24, and the plot remains under wraps, but it’s described as a romantic comedy that explores the eternal question of who to spend forever with.
Randolph’s rise to fame began with her Tony-nominated performance in “Ghost: The Musical” on Broadway, followed by memorable roles in “Dolemite Is My Name” and “The Lost City”.
Her heart-wrenching performance in “The Holdovers” earned her over 70 critics’ awards and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She also graced the cover of Variety’s post-Oscars issue and is poised to receive her first Emmy nomination for her guest role in Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building”.
Randolph’s next project is Lionsgate’s “Shadow Force”, directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Kerry Washington. With her talent and versatility, Randolph is solidifying her position as a leading lady in Hollywood.
“Eternity” is set to begin production this summer, and with A24 financing and Oscar-nominated producers Trevor White and Tim White on board, this romantic comedy is shaping up to be a must-see.
