Experience Ultimate Comfort and Style with the All-Electric Volvo EX90 Excellence

The Volvo EX90, introduced late last year, marks a milestone in our transition to becoming an all-electric car brand by 2030. Today in Shanghai, we uncovered the Volvo EX90 Excellence, a special edition that further elevates the premium experience. This top-tier variant is designed for those who prefer the luxury of being chauffeured, offering first-class comfort and style.

Externally, the Volvo EX90 Excellence features subtle enhancements over its seven-seater counterpart, including a two-tone color scheme and specially designed 22-inch forged rims optimized for aerodynamics, strength, and handling.

However, the most important changes are found inside the vehicle. The back-row seats have been replaced with two individual seats equipped with soft pillows, offering outstanding comfort.

Between the rear seats, a fridge is included for storing a large bottle, ensuring you can enjoy a cold beverage at any time. The center console features a beautiful piece of natural wood with a touch panel for controlling seat heating (with three levels) and a massage function (with five levels).

Additionally, a large Orrefors crystal piece in the center console acts as a microswitch for a fragrance dispenser, supporting up to three fragrances. This sensory experience is enhanced by mood lighting around the cabin.

The EX90 Excellence offers either a tailored wool blend or Nordico upholstery. Nordico is made from recycled materials such as PET bottles and bio-attributed materials from forests in Sweden and Finland, representing advanced sustainability. The wool blend fabric is certified for strict sustainability standards, including animal welfare and environmental and social issues.

Technologically, the EX90 Excellence is built on the same advanced technology platform as the Volvo EX90, making it the safest four-seater we’ve ever created. It includes the latest sensing technology, both inside and outside, with standard lidar technology from Luminar and a groundbreaking driver understanding system.

The core system is powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE® in-car computing platform with Xavier and Orin system-on-chips, Snapdragon® Cockpit Platforms from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and in-house developed software by Volvo engineers. This ensures a responsive and enjoyable experience inside the vehicle, with regular over-the-air software updates enhancing the car over time.

A 14.5-inch center screen provides access to an intuitive infotainment system, supported by a standard 5G connection. Installing apps on the home screen is straightforward, and streaming music and podcasts is enhanced by the new Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity audio system with Dolby Atmos, offering a 3D surround sound experience.

The system is specifically tuned for the four-seat EX90 Excellence interior, with headrest-integrated speakers adding to the immersive sound experience. With twin electric motors and all-wheel drive, the EX90 Excellence delivers a smooth driving experience and a range of up to 650 kilometers on a single charge under the CLTC driving cycle.
