Monday marks the beginning of the NFL’s Opening Night festivities, kicking off four days of media frenzy as the NFC champions gear up to face the AFC champion Chiefs, led by their standout quarterback Patrick Mahomes and innovative head coach, Andy Reid, who previously coached the Eagles.
The Eagles are aiming to secure their second Super Bowl title in franchise history, having posted a 14-3 record this season, largely thanks to quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts, a finalist for the AP NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, matched a franchise record with 33 total touchdowns.
At just 24, Hurts is poised for a bright future, including a lucrative new contract in the offseason.
Hurts is set for a prosperous future both on and off the field, with a new contract likely to pay him around $50 million annually. This deal could rival the enormous 10-year contract awarded to Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes, which has seriously impacted the Chiefs’ salary cap.
