Repsol Honda Team Reveals 2023 Livery at Special Event in Madrid

Marc Marquez and Joan Mir, both MotoGP World Champions, revealed their 2023 Honda RC213V adorned with its full livery yesterday at the Repsol Campus, marking the beginning of their 2023 campaign with the Repsol Honda Team.

In an event held at Repsol’s Madrid headquarters, Marquez and Mir showcased the Honda RC213V, the bike they will ride for the 2023 MotoGP World Championship. This announcement highlighted the formidable Repsol Honda Team line-up for the upcoming season, featuring two Spanish riders with a combined ten World Championships.

The partnership between Honda and Repsol spans 29 years, becoming the longest-standing collaboration in motorsports. This alliance has led to 15 World Championships, 183 race wins, and 454 podiums in the premier class.

Marquez, now fully recovered from recent injuries, returns for his eleventh year with the Repsol Honda Team. Over his tenure, he has achieved 100 podium finishes, 59 of which are wins, alongside 63 pole positions and six Premier Class titles.

Mir, the 2020 MotoGP World Champion and 2017 Moto3 title winner with Honda, joins the Repsol Honda Team after competing in 65 premier class races. With 13 podiums and one victory to his name, Mir has been acclimating to the RC213V through tests in Valencia and Sepang.

Ongoing tests and development work in Japan and at the Repsol Technology Lab will be crucial in fine-tuning the bike’s engine and renewable fuel for the 2023 season.

The riders will conduct an official test at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve on March 11 and 12 before the World Championship kicks off in Portimao, Portugal, on March 26.
