Joint Show Announced by Impact Wrestling and NJPW for WrestleMania Weekend

Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling have announced a joint event scheduled for Thursday, March 30, at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles.

The show, titled “Multiverse United: Only The STRONG Survive,” will feature cross-promotion dream matches, including “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Will Ospreay, anticipated to be a match of the year contender.

The event will air live on pay-per-view on fite.tv, beginning at 8 p.m. PST. Impact World Champion Josh Alexander will face KUSHIDA, while the co-main event will see Bailey battling Ospreay. This will be their fifth one-on-one match, with Bailey declaring, “Will Ospreay is the best professional wrestler in the world, after me.”

Alexander, the longest-reigning Impact World Champion, previously held the Impact World Tag Team Championship as part of The North. KUSHIDA boasts six IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championships and two IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships with the Time Splitters. KUSHIDA is also a two-time Best of the Super Juniors tournament winner.

Also confirmed for Multiverse United, NJPW’s Jeff Cobb will take on former Impact World Champion Moose. Impact stars participating include reigning X Division Champion Trey Miguel, Ace Austin, Chris Bey, and most of the Knockouts. NJPW will be represented by KENTA, Rocky Romero, Minoru Suzuki, Clark Connors, Kevin Knight, Fred Rosser, and others.

Tickets start at $60 and will be available starting Friday, February 10, at 10 a.m. EST on highspots.com. VIP seats are $350 and include perks like an exclusive event t-shirt and commemorative ringside photograph.

Impact Wrestling executive vice-president Scott D’Amore expressed excitement for the collaboration, seeing it as the beginning of many future joint events. NJPW representative director Takami Ohbari echoed this enthusiasm, anticipating a historic and unforgettable event for fans.
