Hyundai Motor America has contributed $50,000 to the Banner Health Foundation to aid in developing a Play Zone at Diamond Children’s Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
This donation is part of Hyundai’s Hyundai Hope initiative, which focuses on corporate social responsibility. The funds will be used to create a special play area for pediatric patients and their families.
The Banner Health Foundation received a ceremonial check in Scottsdale, Arizona. Banner Health is a serious nonprofit health system in the United States, with 30 hospitals, three academic medical centers, and numerous other health entities in six states.
Banner Children’s at Diamond Children’s Medical Center is committed to ensuring children feel safe while receiving specialized care from pediatric doctors and researchers.
The forthcoming Play Zone will provide a non-medical, supportive environment where children can ask questions, develop coping strategies, alleviate anxiety, and prepare for treatments in a cheerful setting.
It will also offer recreational and therapeutic play opportunities, helping to enhance the emotional well-being and uplift the moods of young patients.
