Allison Holker’s 16-year-old daughter, Weslie FowlerAllison Holker, has shared insights into her relationship with Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ mother, Connie Boss Alexander, following the late dancer’s passing.
“I speak to Stephen’s mom. My mom and her were speaking weekly at some point. I don’t know if it’s still like that. Me and my mom haven’t talked about it,” Weslie revealed in a since-deleted Instagram video previously shared on January 9.
“Since Stephen died, I feel like I’ve seen his family more than when he was alive. We would only see them once or twice a year.”
Weslie explained that the limited interactions with tWitch’s family were due to geographical distance.
“[His family] lives in another state,” she said. “It’s not, like, we’re neighbors. It’s not, like, we could just see them whenever we wanted, and now my mom’s constantly making the effort so the kids are a part of their lives. I don’t make the effort, but that’s just how I am.”
Stephen “tWitch” Boss tragically died by suicide at age 40 in December 2022.
Since then, Holker, 36, has shared personal details about their family’s struggles, including tWitch’s alleged battle with drug addiction and the trauma of childhood sexual abuse, in her upcoming memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, which is set for release next month.
Backlash Surrounding Holker’s Memoir
Holker has faced criticism for the memoir, with tWitch’s mother, Connie, expressing strong disapproval.
“The recent publications spreading untruths about Stephen have crossed every line of decency,” Connie wrote on Instagram on January 9.
“As his mother, I will not let these accusations go unanswered. We will not stand by while his name and legacy are tarnished. He doesn’t deserve this, and the kids don’t deserve this.”
Holker and tWitch share two biological children, Zaia, 5, and Maddox, 8. Weslie, Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, was adopted by tWitch.
Rumors About Funeral Drama Addressed
In her video, Weslie also addressed rumors that Connie was prevented from seeing tWitch’s body after his passing.
“I don’t know where it started but I’m constantly getting comments being like, ‘Your mom didn’t let Connie see the body for three weeks.’ Something like that,” Weslie stated. “Everybody who wanted to see the body had access to that information.”
She clarified that her mother, Allison, chose not to view tWitch’s body, while Connie reportedly expressed a desire to do so. However, Weslie explained that “literally everybody” allegedly advised Connie against it.
“That’s your son, you might not want to go see him,” Weslie recalled, adding, “With that all being said, she could have completely on her own terms gone and seen him.”
Weslie’s Strained Relationship with tWitch’s Family
Weslie admitted that she feels “disrespected” by tWitch’s family and has no intentions of mending their relationship.
“They’ve gone on social media saying that ‘Blood’s thicker than water,’ and that’s a direct [hit to] me and my mom,” she alleged. “And if you don’t see me as Stephen’s daughter, that’s cool, take it how you want. I know for a fact that’s never how he saw it, and it’s literally just hurtful.”
She concluded by expressing her decision to distance herself from the family.
“I’ve slowly started to remove myself from [them] because they don’t make me feel comfortable, and my mom’s the one making the effort and feeling like it’s a need and a necessity to see them because she cares.”
