Terrance “T.A.” Dixon, the former hype man of rapper Fat Joe (born Joseph Antonio Cartagena), has filed a $20 million lawsuit accusing the artist of egregious misconduct over a 16-year period. The claims include coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, violent intimidation, and, most significantly, sexual abuse involving both Dixon and underage individuals.
The 157-page document, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, contains graphic details and includes allegations that Fat Joe coerced Dixon into thousands of sex acts and engaged in inappropriate relationships with multiple minors.
The lawsuit outlines a pattern of psychological manipulation and sexual abuse. Dixon claims he was forced into humiliating and sexually exploitative situations under threats of abandonment, financial punishment, and even physical harm.
According to the complaint, these acts were often carried out under surveillance or in front of others, creating a culture of dominance and control. Dixon asserts that these acts were systemic and supported by Fat Joe’s associates, extending across several states and international tour locations.
Lawsuit Alleges Fat Joe Exploited Minors With Help From Associates and Roc Nation
Dixon’s lawsuit also accuses Fat Joe of having sexual relations with three underage girls, aged 15 and 16, in exchange for money, gifts, and other favors. One alleged victim was flown to the U.S. and even underwent cosmetic surgery, reportedly funded by Fat Joe. Another minor was said to be financially supported and brought to various tour locations. The complaint describes a deeply disturbing dynamic where Fat Joe allegedly used his influence and celebrity status to manipulate and exploit minors over extended periods.

Beyond Fat Joe, the lawsuit names two of his key associates — Pete “Pistol Pete” Torres and Richard “Rich Player” Jospitre — as enablers within what Dixon refers to as a “criminal enterprise.” It also implicates Roc Nation, the management company founded by Jay-Z, which represents Fat Joe. Roc Nation is accused of attempting to suppress Dixon’s rights and interfere with the legal process to protect its client, further deepening the scope of the alleged conspiracy.
Fat Joe Counters Allegations, Claims Extortion Amid Intensifying Legal Feud With Ex-Associate
Fat Joe and his legal team have fiercely denied all allegations. His attorney, Joe Tacopina, described the lawsuit as “complete fabrications” and a retaliatory move by Dixon after being sued first for defamation and slander. Tacopina claims Dixon and his attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, are attempting to extort Fat Joe with sensational and false accusations. The rapper has reportedly initiated his own legal action to counter what he views as a fraudulent campaign aimed at forcing a public settlement.
This lawsuit follows Fat Joe’s previous defamation suit against Dixon and Blackburn, highlighting a deepening legal feud between the former colleagues. Tacopina has criticized Blackburn’s legal history, alleging a pattern of headline-chasing litigation, and said Blackburn is now under disciplinary scrutiny.
Dixon, meanwhile, maintains that pursuing justice through the court system is the only way to hold Fat Joe accountable, claiming the rapper believes he is “untouchable.” The case is likely to draw further public and legal scrutiny as proceedings continue.
