In a remarkable achievement for Jeep, the Jeep Avenger has been awarded the title of Best Family SUV in the 13th edition of the Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) awards.

This remarkable accolade is unique for its all-female panel of judges, consisting of motoring journalists from 45 different countries, making it the only global car awards initiative led entirely by women.

The Avenger’s recognition underscores the beginning of Jeep’s BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) wave (Jeep Avenger)

The WWCOTY awards are distinguished for evaluating vehicles based on a range of criteria including safety, design, quality, pricing, and their environmental impact.

Avenger’s Success Amongst Strong Competition

The Jeep Avenger stood out among 12 other family SUVs shortlisted for the award. The international jury praised the Avenger for its innovative design, impressive off-road capabilities, and low environmental impact.

This year’s judging focused on the automotive industry’s shift towards more sustainable and efficient vehicles, with the Avenger exemplifying these trends through its thoughtful engineering and environmental considerations.

The Jeep Avenger: A Model of Compact Versatility

As a compact B-SUV measuring just four meters long, the Jeep Avenger is designed for individuals seeking a blend of compact size and robust functionality. It embodies the Jeep brand’s heritage while integrating contemporary features that combine style, performance, and cutting-edge technology.

The Avenger is equipped with a 400-volt electric powertrain that delivers 115 kW of power and 260 Nm of torque, supported by a 54 kWh battery that provides up to 400 km of range on the WLTP cycle and over 550 km in city driving conditions.

A Pivotal Moment for Jeep’s Electrification Strategy

The award for the Avenger marks a remarkable milestone in Jeep’s electrification journey, symbolizing the start of a new era for the brand. Uncovered at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, the Avenger has already received substantial acclaim from both customers and industry experts.

In January 2023, it was also named European Car of the Year 2023, and has seen strong market demand with more than 12,000 units sold since the initial release of the 1st Edition in December 2022, followed by the full lineup in January 2023.

The Avenger’s recognition underscores the beginning of Jeep’s BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) wave, a strategic plan that will introduce four all-electric models by 2025 and aims for a complete transition to electric vehicles in the European market by 2030.
