WWE Plans to Complete Sale of Company Before Starting New TV Deal Negotiations

WWE announced on Friday morning that Vince McMahon, Michelle Wilson, and George Barrios have been reinstated to WWE’s Board of Directors.

McMahon has emphasized that he will not approve any media rights agreements or a sale of the company without his presence on the Board. WWE has engaged JPMorgan to facilitate discussions regarding a potential sale.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared that WWE intends to finalize a sale before entering negotiations for new television contracts.

WWE’s current TV contracts with NBC Universal and FOX are set to expire in September 2024, with discussions for new deals expected to begin later this year.
